So Far Away

Based on one of my 2018 inktobers. Thing is, I wanted to work with this concept for so long, but I just couldn't get the composition right. After several tries I finally settled on one I liked.

In this painting, the girl and boy aren't physically far apart, only a shallow brook divides them. But reflected in the water is the sky, showing that the emotional distance between them is as large as the whole sky. The girl looks at the boy sadly, but he ignores her as he has purple carnations over his eyes.
